I dont think id be able to hold a phone and a cookie at the same time without worrying about losing a finger or two. It looks to be young. Mom was probably nearby and watching very very closely.

I think that is the mother. Itโ€™s rare to be hand fed by a human . The poor bugger mustโ€™ve been starving.

If she had babies back in the den, do you think she would risk that close of human contact? But I've never seen another human besides JN that wild animals trust. She could probably sleep with a bear and come out refreshed and unharmed.

I've no idea the ***sex of the fox.
I did at first assume it was young, but I've only ever seen it on it's own, so no babies or parents around.

I watched where it ran to a few times after taking food and there were no other foxes around there.

I do have a deeper care, compassion and connection with animals than people.
I guess animals sense that ...
