My manager admitted to me yesterday that she looked at my social media and I don’t know how I feel about it.

Well she asked me today in front of everyone about it. And I told her I thought about it and it’s just I want to keep everything separated. It’s nothing against her it’s just I don’t like the idea of having my boss on my social media. And I told her that I would rather have people talk with me about things instead of just going to my social media and not talking with me at all. The assistant manager was making comments about it. But then a supervisor took my side and said she agreed with me. Some people like to keep it separated. I don’t like the idea that she asked me in front of everyone. And I’m a very honest person. So now it’s going to be awkward.

That she brought up you making your account private in front of everyone is pretty weird, though maybe she feels more comfortable with you than she really has a right too, some peeps misread situations.

It doesn't have to be awkward, if it's the kind of job where you don't want them following you on social media you don't need to worry about what they think.

Another investment type question....

It's a good investment if you have only a few investors. Obviously if i put 500 bucks into an investment, I expect more than 5 dollars back. But putting a million and getting 50 grand back isn't that bad, if it's a low risk and relatively short term deal.

Making your account public and then calling it spying when someone looks at it is kind of like wearing a t-shirt with writing on it and calling it spying when someone reads it as you wear it.

Honestly, I hardly ever use my facebook account partly because of the liking awkwardness. There are no clear cut social rules on these things, at least none I'm aware of. I'd find it more creepy if she liked every photo than her not liking any.

She probably was bored and browsing one day and got curious, looked you up and mentioned it to you in person because she thought that was the least creepy thing to do, because honestly it is imo.

Or maybe she's obsessed and in love with you and has a shrine of you in her attic with your new haircut picture in the center.

How do you help someone who's fiance cancels the wedding a week before the day?

Its harder to support if you dont know what happened.

Im bad at supporting people cus when do the "what would i want" check, its usually to deal with things on my own, cus thats my lizardy self and instincts.

They're probably feeling both embarrassed and heartbroken. What would you want in that situation? Maybe to get drunk and have a safe rebound fling. Safe being the keyword.

I'm giving them space but everyone is different and I just wanted more suggestions on how to support someone in that situation

I was half joking....half.
