Riddle me this: How do you stop caring what others think of you?

@DocteurRalph You just described 99% of all cats.

@Araz For the most part as we grow up we are taught to please others. Starting with our parents then on to our teachers and even bosses. We expect a favorable reward in return be it a pat on the back to a good grade to a raise. When we don't receive that reward we have a choice to sit there and take it or move on from trying to please that person. And it usually is only one person.
Narcissists on the other hand only do those things to please themselves. Never anyone else.
Finding the fine line between the two is fairly easy if you stay humble. And grounded.

NFL Superbowl LIII Poll ...

I think we all know who is going to come out on top this year. I simply hope the Rams can keep it close so it is worth watching the entire four quarters.
If the NFL refs blow another non-call of a blatant foul I sincerely hope there is a Columbian drug cartel like tunnel to let them escape the stadium.

Do married people fall in love with another person easily?

Ever heard the expression, "the grass is greener on the other side"? That may or may not be true. If the lawnmower is left in the garage the whole time you never really find out...

How much are you in the red after the purchase of the archives @Rockster160 ?

After nearly 20 years, 4 kids, and TONS of frustration on my part, my husband has said that we should divorce.

I am so sorry PepperJ. Thanks for being honest with us what you are going through. It is never easy. The pain is real because it is yours and no one else's. We can't make the pain any less to deal with, but know one truth. You will always always always have willing ears and eyes here to share it with you. Never forget that. We care.

NFL Superbowl Poll II

I'll be watching just to see how many times Brady gets knocked on his ***ass, with or without the ball in his hands. Rams should plan on 2 or 3 sacrificial lambs. That is defensive lineman willing to get flagged for roughing the QB.

Sometimes keeping control is hard.

It would be difficult to diagnose you on this forum. Have you been to a psychologist? I believe you have talked yourself into a mild depressive state. A mild sedative for a short period of time might help. It would need to be monitored so it doesn't become addictive. You might consider a holistic doctor to suggest changes in your diet too. A simple chemical imbalance may just be the culprit too. Think outside the box.

I'm not sure how many of you out there make your own wine or beer, so I am going to just put this out there.

Control those things you can control, which basically is you, and let go of those things (mostly others around you) that you can not.
